I'm looking to remaster songs I have by removing their bass lines and putting my own in. Any of you know of a good application for creating music? If this was possible I was thinking it would have to filter out ranges of frequencies and just let me add my own. I just want to "tune up" some songs for what my system likes.

And there is something from Adobe that does sound editing. Finale I think.

adobe audition is awesome, my dad has it in his studio..i put it on my laptop and love it

i use Virtual DJ but it doesnt necessarily let you 'create' your own beats.
