Music not showing on USB?

so it worked today ive had the usb for about 6 months or less. and today i plug it into my xbox directly from my laptop and it says ''no music found'' now i plug it back into my laptop and the only thing on it is a 0kb ''T'' file... wtf? it still has my 2 gigs of music on there. anyone know what this is or how to fix it?
