Music Editing/Beat Making...Mac or PC?

LOL obviously you don't get have macs are much better than windows. Especially now that you can run windows on a mac. There is now nothing a mac can not do. Also as you can see from the voting that more and more people are going with macs and I cant wait for it to grow even more. Don't cry you will get a mac one day as well.

Why would you want to run windows on such a superior machine?

I just grabbed a mint condition 17" iMac yesterday. 1.25ghz. 2gb ram, 160gb hd, newest OS, with tons of apps already on it...for $400. I already like it better than my PC.

I agree I would not run it on my mac its **** a great piece of machinery.

OS X has less memory leaks than Vista (far less) and is much more stable. Going back and forth between my home computer (G5) and the studio I'm working at (PC w/ Vista), I cannot tell you how much better it is to come home and do work on my Apple. His Pro Tools is always slower, and is a lot less stable. It has constant hardware errors, disk buffer errors, and is just a pain to work on.

wow thats a slow cpu. you can get a quadcore cpu and overclock it to 4ghz for 200$ these days. you can always just build a pc and run mac on it also.

It seems like it would be slow, but I don't do any gaming, so what do I need an insanely fast processor for? It's actually faster than my 3.0ghz pentium 4 I had before. I'm also not into building a pc, it's just way over my head.

I used to run exclusively windows. I hated everything mac. Then I got a mac. I will never go back to that P.O.S. PC

Why buy an underpowered Mac when you can get a PC that will run circles around it for the same price or less?
