Music cuts out but bass still hits.

I have a pioneer deck. Just started doing this. Randomly off and on the voices etc in the music just cuts out completely. The bass still works fine but the actual music etc from the songs cut out completely. If i cut it all off for a few minutes it all starts working fine again. Im wondering if my deck is overheating?

sounds like it ,or do you have an amp for the speakers

No amp for the speakers. Just a 2 channel for the 2 12" subs. Why would the deck overheat?

may have a short in it ,or maybe got grounded on the install somehow
