Multiple amps

Hey,

Ok, I have three amps and one cap that im going to install soon. I wanted to know if I could hook all 4 of them up to my remote turn on wire without harming the HU. I heard that with 4 or more items hooked up I might need to set up a relay. Any1 know?

You should be able to. But if you want to be on the safe side just run the turn on lead from your HU into a relay.

I hate to take any chances with a new HU. Every1 agree a relay for a 4 item turn on?

Heh I hate to seem 2 dumb but I just am not completely sure of the way to hook up the relay.

Is it 4 contacts on the relay:

1. 12V power source

2. ground

3. on off wire from the head unit

4. 12 Volt out - to the 3 amps and cap

I figure some1 has done this b4 and I want to be safe with my connections

Most relays take more current to run than the 4 remotes would. Don't bother.
