multi ohm amp?

Most 4 ch amps will take it I believe, but will heat up much faster, and typically be alot more unreliable for long plays, EVEN IF THEY COULD....

Wire in series for 8 ohms and enjoy the benefit of cool running.

wtf are you talking about loudcrown.

if you want to put a 8ohm speaker on channel 1, a 2ohm speaker on channel 2, a 4ohm speaker on channel 3 and a 16ohm speaker on channel 4, they will ALL run at RMS power. the amp may get a bit warmer running all four channels at 2 ohm, but yes. yes they can do it.

thats why they say "2 ohm stable" - that means, anything 2ohm or more is AOK.

so in lamens terms, yes, you can run two channesl at 4 and two channels at 2. i had my memphis belle running that way for nigh on a year.

My 4ch has been running everyday since I put it in my car with the front channels running @ 4 Ohms and the rears running at 2.

I couldn't tell you whether or not it gets extraordinarily warm as it is in the trunk and I've never checked it to see after getting to where I was going. I can tell you it has never once shut down on me so I'm not quite sure what LoudCrown is talking about with that 'typically unreliable for long plays' bit. I've been using this KAC-PS500F for the better part of three years in this fashion and it was not new when I first acquired it.
