Multi-channel w/large sub output

old school belles are 6 channel amps I believe..........while the new ones are 5ch

I wish they made a 3 channel Belle, who the hell amps rear fill anyways

my ultimate amp would be 150x2 on the fronts/comps and 750-1000w@1ohm on the sub

that would make me verry happy

I emailed Memphis and gave them my reccomendation LOL
The amp for $450 is the bigger one - the 1300D - again, a 2003 (has a plane emblem dead center). The amp is 1-ohm stable to the sub.
Hey, supposedly these 2003 amps can be bridged to run 3-way - both in stereo (2 x 225 4ohm) while running mono at either 1100 x 1 at 1 ohm or 600 x 2 at 2 ohm.

By the way, when did Memphis Audio start making amps? Some of my old CA & E yearly product guides don't have them listed in the late 90s. The first year that I have them among the amplifiers is 2000. Are the old 6-channels only as old as 2000?

Late 90's or 2000 seems about right. If I am not mistaken they sold under the Fultron name before changing the name to Memphis.

I know memphis has been in audio for 40 years, Afco is the company that owns them. Afco also owns Fulmer helmets, and the did uphulstery for cars. The amps have been around a long time.

No Fultron was their "entry" level brand. They have also had depth charge, and the new ones Street Edge which IMO is a **** good product.

Iwas looking at the old school one on Ebay and the seller says 6-channel. I looked through the .pdf of discotimued products on Memphis site, so I can get their specs on it. It is not listed. Only 5 channel belles are listed. Anyone know the Model# of these 6 channel old school belles? this would help my search. I emailed the seller and am waiting to see if he will supply me with that info. If anyone else could locate some E-paper from Memohis on this amp it would be appreciated.

Again, why would you suggest a three channel when the Belles can run in three-channel mode after bridging the front four?

I would run a DLS Ultimate A5 or Ultimate A7. The A5 is a 3 channel that does 85wrms @ 4ohms(typical)x 2 and 780W x1 @ 1ohm in the sub channel. The A7 is basically the same, but a 5 channel. DLS amps are rediculously clean, and well built. There is a guy on this forum on occasion that is an authorized dealer (3 year warranty) that gives great prices. I recommend the DLS amps for sure. Check them @:http://www.dlsamerica.com/

I run 2 amps,a 2 ch and a Dclass

with the belle,a 5 channel your paying for 2 rear channels,no one really ever amps the rear channels - REASON, rear speakers can and usually do mess up the imaging of the sound inside the car - why pay for a 5ch amp whan 3 is all u need and HU power for Rearfill is plenty if needed in normal situations

that DLS the guy mentioned above sounds perfect,I wish I new where to buy one locally

I bet the SQ is even better than the Belle

on Ebay they are 650.00 !

Excelerater, you don't get it. The Memphis Belle *IS* a 3-channel amp, as well as a 5-channel. You BRIDGE each pair of the front four channels -- as I stated before -- and it runs 2 x 225 watts RMS at 4ohms, and you then run the sub channel at whatever you want (600 @ 2 ohms or 1100 @ 1 ohm).... THREE-WAY MODE (NO REAR FILL).
