Muliti Element OHM question

I have the infinity 60.9 cs max RMS 90, and 692.9i 110 max. On crutchfields site (not where I got them from) They say they are 2 ohm compatable. How do I know if the speakers going to get 2 or 4 ohms from the 4 channel amp I pick? Like an amp that does 75 x 4 @ 4 ohms, would technically not be enough, however it would be like 150 x 4 @ 2 ohms. That would be more than enough, is there a special way to wire or something to ensure they are 2 ohms? Thanks

Thats the way it works with mulit elements, so since my speakers i just described are 2 ohm impedance, then they will be at two ohms if available, because evdiently they work at 4 ohms also.

So in other words an amp that does 150 x 4 @ 2 ohms would me more than enough?

If a speaker is 4ohms. The amp is giving that speaker, 75 watts.

if the speaker is 2 ohms, 150.

Think like this.

Ohms = resistance in the load.

The more ohms, the more resistance.

Resistance, less power.

So when a speaker has a certain resistance, it gets a certain power.

Think like the amp still is sending the same amount of power, but its divided cause the resistance.

That amp may send more power than the speaker is "rated" for, but that is okay, we call it "head room" just keep the gains lower than usual./

no doubt, I am new to the car audio thing, but both of my amps are from adence, they seem like a real high quaility company for a reasonable price, I will be pushing about 150x4 @ 2 ohms, which should be plent for 100 watt max rms speakers. Thanks
