Just a question, but I thought MDF was the best wood to use for enclosures? Is that false?
Not trying to hijack your thread, enclosure looks really nice!
MDF has the best cost/performance ratio out there, IMO.

The wood we used for this box is just as strong as MDF and half the weight. It's downfall is that it costs twice as much as MDF.
