MTX Thunder T1501D Amplifier will it run 1 ohm???

I was first looking to get the MTX thunder 81000D amp but found the 1501D MTX amp for a little cheaper and the have the same specs...i was wondering if the newer version was better or vise versa and if anyone has seen them run 1 ohm loads....

I wouldn't though.

The 1501D is not rated to run 1ohm. You would be better off finding an amp actually designed to run 1ohm from the factory.

for the mtx 1501d all they do is remove the protection circuit so it wont go into protect...the pros to this is lower ohm operation and higher voltage input capability.....but if u run it too hard it'll kill the amp quicker.....i'm running mine at 1 ohm with no problems.....barely even gets hot.....

its a 2ohm amp from the factory,1ohm mods and expect a short lifespan

BassAddictJ did u mod yers yerslef or u get it premoded? if u did it yerself could u tell me how?or give me a link?
