mtx thunder amps any good?

a friend of mine recently acquired a pair of rf hx2 12s and is searching the craigs list for an amp (afraid to do business online) he found a 1000w mtx thunder series amp. anyone have experience with this line of their amps? good bad?

not bad amps from what i can tell. I think those subs can handle more than 500 each though.

I don't mind MTX, their ratings are pretty close to the true output power of there amps.

yeah, but his budget is low. and can't afford to upgrade electrical (stock 60 a alt and 4 ga wire is all he has)

he must have a really small car. That amp will do, but im sure he will want more after a while then he'll upgrade that alt.
