Looking for a pair of these. 10's or 12's preferable. Ive always liked these subs and they got **** loud in sealed boxes.

Either of the below models are fine. Need either single 4 ohm or dual 4 or dual 2.

Free bump- Going out the door to look at a 15 8000 locally. Cant wait. Motor force on these is huge. BL^2 /Re was something like 127 on the one I'm going to look at.
If the motor force is high like that chances are the gap is very tight and thus doesn't have very good cooling, but I could be wrong...

remember hearing one in a bandpass in an S-10 blazer on an MTX Blue Thunder 2channel that birthed at 430watts rms bridged, hit hard with decent SQ. In fact it hit harder than my 3 sealed MTX BluThunder 10s on the same amp in the hatch of my 94 Camaro

Good driver, good luck!

No tinsels have not been replaced everythings stock, besides the 1 replaced dust cap

mtx 8000 thunder series 15 inch

this haha? I saw it on C.L

Lol yup. The final cost out of my pocket will be stupid low once I carpet and resell the sealed box it came with. The 15s have a perfect q (.70) in 2cu/ft sealed according to the owners manual.

Could be, Idk. Its an 8 layer coil, so it could be squeezed in there. Theres plenty of venting under the spider on the basket and the pole is vented with a flare on the end. I'll add some pics in a few mins once I clean it up a little.

From all the research I have done, the newer model is denoted with an 'a' on the end of the model. This will have the shiny chrome looking cone and the upgraded tinsels that are wrapped in colored rubberized material. The 15 I just picked up is the older one with the old tinsels. All I did was take some electrical tape and wrap it as tightly as I could around them. I played around with the excursion and couldnt get the leads to get near the cone. The models are almost identical tsp wise, the older one has a slightly lower vas and higher q vlaues but they are just about identical. Heres a pic of the 15 before I taped the tinsels:

Why not pick up some heat shrink and resolder the leads back on that way it looks better :)Great subs I had two D4 12"s in a pro box rocks super bass enclosure on two mtx 2300x and it was stuped loud
I have soldered once in my life and don't own that sort of equipment, I figured who cares what it looks like, its in a box 99.9% of the time and a recone is as far away as a pm to splaudio.
