MTX Thunder 8000

The voice coil configuration on the subs only determines the final load at the amp, not how hard the subs hit. That's for the amplifier to determine. For instance, if you get 2 dual 2 ohm your final ohm load at the amp will be 2 ohm or 0.5 ohm (unless you have very good electrical/quality amp I wouldn't run at 0.5 ohm). So your best option here would be an amp that does 1000-1500 and is 2 ohm stable. The next option is the one that most people on here would run. 2 dual 4 ohm subs running them at a final ohm load of 1 at the amp, whereas you'd get an amp that does 1000-1500 @ 1 ohm.
