Mtx Ta92001?

Any good? Rated at 3000@1 ohm, but why are they so cheap, usually MTX amps are expensive. I was looking at getting 2 of these or 2 of the Hifonics BXI 2607's. Which would be better. I hear the hifonics is cleaner and more efficient and it does do rated power.

from the specs the Hifonics is cleaner and more efficient. And I have heard nothing but good things about this amp, I have not heard anything about the newer MTX. Anyone know anything about them?

I would take the 92001 in a heartbeat over top of the BXi line of hifonics.

I decided with an Orion 2500D over a 92001 because the Orion was regarded highly and I noticed that the 92001 is cea compliant at 2000w rms. I couldn't find many, if any reviews for the 92001 but I'm sure it is built well.

It doesn't say at what ohm on their website, it just says it's cea rated at 2000w but has a max output of 6000w.

I'm telling you it's 3000rms @1ohm rated, usually with a birthsheet of higher.

These amps are no joke. I've installed over two dozen of these at the shop, and had one in my truck for a while.

They retail for $2000 for christ's sake.

MY buddy just bought one, and the birthsheet read 3880. for a little over 400 shipped. they do draw alot of current though. Strapped the pair will draw 600 amps.

just sold a 92001 and it birthed 3600w rms @ 14.4

we clamped the amp wired @ 1ohm and @ 12v input it did 18a out, 84v out =1512 @5ohm not bad power and it was louder than a memphis mojo 2000 @ 1ohm which clamped the same power
