Does anyone have an MTX RE-Q that can help me out?

I tapped into the 2 rear speakers in my 08 Dodge Charger. So I have a speaker wire coming from the left rear speaker and a wire coming from the right rear speaker in my trunk. Im trying to use the Re-Q to add a 10" sub and amp to my stock system.

I hook the speaker wires up to the RE-Q wiring harness and for some reason the only way I get a signal is from the front left white positive wire. If I hook the negative wire to the harness, it completely cuts out.

Is this normal? Why would it only work with one single wire hooked up? (Literally, just the positive side of the speaker wire is the only way it will work)

im so confused lol

Why are you hooking up the pos of 1 speaker to the neg of the other speaker?
Im hooking the positive from my speaker to the positive on the RE-Q.

Sorry If I sound confusing..... this thing is driving me crazy i've been messing with it for 4-5 days now.

So I have the positive from my speaker to the positive on the RE-Q, but when I take the negative speaker wire and put on the negative wire on the RE-Q the sound stops coming out of the my sub.

here is a picture if it helps ^_^

Note that the REQ5 manual says to twist unused speaker input wires together when entire channels are not used.

Use a DMM and measure VAC on the factory wires in reference to chassis ground. See if you have signal on both wires.
