MTX Jackhammer question (v. Oh dude, not that bullshit again...)

hey i got a question about the episode on MTV's Pimp My Ride where they install the jackhammer on that dumbass car... i see they wired 9 amplifeirs to the jackhammer, but the question is, how the **** do you wire 9 amps to a single speaker?

im assuming it is something like "QVC" (quad voice coil), then how do you wire an even number of amplifiers to it?

Because they didn't, they're stupid. It's a dual VC subwoofer. Prolly like 9 amps TOTAL in the setup...or something...who knows...

Can't strap an odd number of amplifiers, and MTX amps are not infinitely strappable.

^^^^^^ thats the only way i could see it being but still even if the voice coil indepence were wired to say 4 ohm that would still be to low of an indepenane for the amps. they would be running the amps at like .4 ohms or something wouldnt it?

what is it to "strap an amp"? can you drive 2 amps like a dual into a single voice coil? like a normal bridge as you see in all mosfet amplifiers?

i know u cant strap and odd number, perhaps ibne was use for speakers. i know the new MTX amps are strapable. but im sure they only had 2 amps straped tp each other per voice coil. did they realy have 9 amps???
