MTX D @ 1 ohm??

Could the Mtx 801d be ran @ 1 ohm daily? I think it should be ok b-cuz of box rise but does anybody have expeirience running it @ 1 ohm daily? IU want to install it in my unlces car but he has D4 subs.

Assuming the 801D is similar to the 1501D, they are rated @ 2 ohms stable, but with the proper modifications, it can run @ 1 ohms stable. There is a thread floating around that teaches you how to modify MTX amps.

exactly

just try it out, if it goes into protect then just dont do it again, or take it easy on the gains... its not like its gonna go up in a ball of fire or anything

but not really it just went in to protection after a while so chance it if you wanna but it only did it when it was really being pushed
