MTX D @ 1 ohm??

Could the Mtx 801d be ran @ 1 ohm daily? I think it should be ok b-cuz of box rise but does anybody have expeirience running it @ 1 ohm daily? IU want to install it in my unlces car but he has D4 subs.

 
Assuming the 801D is similar to the 1501D, they are rated @ 2 ohms stable, but with the proper modifications, it can run @ 1 ohms stable. There is a thread floating around that teaches you how to modify MTX amps.

i know you can mod them but can they do it unmodded?
