MTX 7500 vs. Alpine Type-R

You show your ignorance again. I know you haven't even heard a 7500.
Easily the MTX 7500, hands down. I'd compare it to an RE SE and the SE > Type R meaning 7500 > Type R.

You can't really lose though, both are great.

Once again for the road..

Shut your stupid dumbshit god dammnn mother fuking mouth!!!

type R 12 can handle a autotek mm4000 at 1 ohm for a burp...
i'd love to see a 7500 do that.. i'd also like to see it pull a 151.7 at 48hz in a monte carlo.

the 15 handles much more power and would have hurt some feelings on that autotek... didnt have it to test it though. The 15 got nice and low though... 150.4 off 1500 tested watts at 44hz in the MC.

Or perhaps the alpine type S's are a good pick... doing a 150.0 with around 800-1000 watts (gotta meter the amps) in my 85 s10 blazer.... and counting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

that being said... I just did a cougar that ran 2 mtx 8000 12's and 2 of those kenwood 850 RMS amps, in that area at least. 145.0 at 38hz in a straight SQ setup... its within one db from 35 to 52hz. Sounds real real good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah you are right, the 7500 probably wont be able to do that, however, they are rated at 100 watts rms difference. A better comparison would be the Type R and the 7500.

As for the Thunder 8000's, those things dont even compare to the whole entire line of MTX's subs. The difference between the old line and the new line is like night and day

who cares what the subs are rated for or specs... they do what they do

the type S is better with under 500-600 watts... much more effeciant than the R and its a better SQ woof - very very smooth response.

The 8000 came alive in that box... never heard an MTX woof sound that good.

Shouldnt push a Type S with any more than 400 watts anyway. They are rated at 300 rms, so 400 rms is the max you should push them
RMS power means nothing in a woof, enclosure decides power handling more than anything. I am/will/have/am sending more power to the S's and they are very, repeat for fun.... VERY loud.

or perhaps a 150.0 with 2 12's doesnt count?

Only if you can do it all the time and not just a couple before the subs go poof //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

type r 12 on viper2500 @1ohm for daily

WOOOOOOOOOOOW, don't see that happening
i do/did... for a few weeks actually. Full tilt music? yep... full tilt all day? no.. but it could handle for a song.

it also did a 150.5 at 48hz... all install.

it also took on the autotek mm4000 for a while... it handled it for burps like nothing - music it was iffy but it still handled for short periods.

151.7 with the autotek //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and yea, one 12.

the 15 handles yet more power...
