i just got two 12'' mtx 5500's in the thunder box.

i was wonderin if it would be smart to make my own tuned to 32hz.

how big of a box would these take to sound good and hit low?

also i only have 475rms goin to both of them combined

well it would basically be for performance issue's

cuz i had a l5 in prefab truck style box from kicker and put that in a 2 cube 32 hz box.

like night and day

so i was wonderin if it would be the same with this

but, was that prefab box designed specifically for the subs?

I have tested those mtx boxes and i thin they do a very good job. I can do one that beats them if i want to lean toward sq or spl, but they are a good enclosure

well i know i am not given them enough power i can still throw another 400rms at them.

but it just dosent seem like they are hitten the lows like my 10l5 did.

thats why im thinkin of makin a new box at around 32hz.

I had two of them (well have, will try to sell them soon) in a sealed enclosure 1.27 square feet with the 300rms running to each and they performed fairly well and hit the lows nicely, just a reccomendation that if you can get your hands on a large sealed box just to try them out go ahead and see how you like it. And yes I realize you appear to be interested in a ported box...just making a suggestion.
