never look at peak power numbers. You can run any amp to it as long as you know how to set the gain properly. Gain+head unit preout voltage determines how much power you are sending a subwoofer. You dont have to send all 1300 watts rms to the subs, you can set it a lot lower and the sub will only see 400 watts keeping the power clean and the subs happy.

Im buying a new amp and I want to know how much I can give it til it's to much 1200 watt peak so I'm guessing 1200 watts?? Please let me know I'm looking to get a 1300 watt rms amp but if it can handle more power il get a bigger amp, thanks
what he said but those subs don't need tons of power.. as long as u understand amps like mine that say 1600 watts aren't real watts mine does 500.. rf 1200.1 does over 1300 ppi1000.1 does right at 1krms for $115 or so if u can find it and they very small.. planet audio autotek hifonics etc say 1500 most are 500.. so what amp are u looking at maybe we find u a better amp than mine for u (although in your case my amp would push those).. what he's saying is these guy run lots of power set gains low and never use any bass boost on amp or loudness on hu that way it's cleaner power, subs sound better and last longer than if u do what i got and have 600rms sub with 500rms amp and maybe over drive and clip the amp which sends distortion to sub... so u could get by with a nice 750rms amp but if u go bigger with nice amp u could upgrade subs later or if u got rf750.1 later u could get 1 good 12 ported on that amp and be louderthan what u have now most likely.. are subs dvc or svc?

Also, would you be able to tell me if this is a good amp and sub set up I'm really looking to make my car flex, it's a 2007 Ford Focus hatchback. It's a 15 inch soundstream t5 , 1300 watt rms. the amp is soundstream t1.4000dl (2 ohm)

You can wire those subs up @8 ohms if they are both SVC4 ohm subs, and that amp will run fine after being tuned properly...
