Mtx 1501d Modded power?

I have an Mtx 1501d that i am considering modding, but my question is how muck real power will it put out? I have 2 15 inch mojos and wondering if i mod it will it be able to handle .5 ohms daily?

i had one and ran it @ 1 ohm for a while... eventually poped

Mine loved .5, when I had one. You need a solid electrical.

I personally... wouldn't advise running @ .5ohms daily.

At 1ohm daily, 14v... you should expect a solid 1800+ rms.

i had one and ran it @ 1 ohm for a while... eventually poped

ran mine at .5 ohm for maybe 2 days got extremely hot but never popped and that was off a stock alt and batt with only the big 3. I think it could do 1 ohm fine if you lay off the gains and have the electrical system to back it up. oh and at .5 you'll get about 2200 watts but IMO I wouldn't risk it.

ya, it got about as hot to cook eggs off of, eventually went pop and smoke came out... dident really bother me much... just my experence with it...

do as you wish, but dont expect your amp to last very long @ .5

Sell it and get a kicker zx2500 that should makes those mojo's sing nicely for a DD setup.

well im kinna ina budget right now so my mojo amp went out so all i have is my Mtx but i can only wire them at 2 ohms or .5 so i cant do 1 ohms. by the way would it be better if i get one amp for both or or one for each?

If you get one for each, you'll want to level match them (set them exactly the same with a DMM).

just thought i would throw my .02 cents in.

i have had my modded amp running at .5 ohms daily for about 2 years now, no problems. only gets hot on long hot days at idle.

woot for the 1501d, it will also take upto 18v moded
