MT or XXX?

Hey guys, i just wanted everyones opinion on what i should get. I use to have 2 12" xxx powered by 2 hifonics bx2005. They sounded awesome. But it wasnt as loud as i would of liked it. And now i need new subs so i was either thinking of going to one 06 12" XXX or a 12" mt. But i have never heard an MT before, i know the mt is more spl but does it have some sq? Could one 06 xxx be as loud as the 2 older xxx i had? If you have any advice for me please let me know. thx

i also want to know what the differences are betweem the mt10 and xxx10. 06's. I will be daily drivin em too.

The mt will be louder then the xxx with same power and size.

And you can get a mt to sound really good

Some people think that MT's dont have any sq cause most of the time they are in spl installs.

So you are saying if i put the mt in a great box i can get it alot louder then the xxx with just a little sq loss? If thats so i should go with the mt then. You agree?

Get some MTs...I just don't see the 06 XXX being that practical. Put the MT(s) in a good size box tuned in the Mid 30s. They will be very loud, and SQ loss wont be that bad. I've heard a few setups with MTs and the SQ isnt all that bad.

dont think they are making 06 xxx 10's i could be wrong and if so im sure they will look quite comical

why isnt the 06 xxx practical though? cause of the price? the price doesnt really affect my choice i just want a great setup.

do u think i should sell my 2 amps and get a good quality amp also? Or just keep them. They are the hifonics brutus 2005bd 2000 watts rms

Keep the 2 amps and put them on a mt.

Yes the mt will get louder then the XXX no question.

Box for a 12" mt is in my sig.

I have not got to test it yet cause that is another story but It will wang.

Got the size and tuning from another member of another forum.

He build alot of boxes for the mt and that one did the best job for DD and comps.

Edit also forgot to add.

Give it atleast 50 square inches of port area.

Does the 15 get alot louder and deeper then the 12? I wanted to get a 15 before but i wasnt sure how big the box needs to be.If I am going to hook both amps to it should i get a quad coil over the dual? Sorry for all the stupid questions im just kinda new with that shit. But thanks for helping me out.

i have a hybrid with mt coils and the sq diff for me isnt bad at all....definitly WAY more output/spl with the mt..for sure....get the mt if you can. tuned right the sq wont be that bad, and if u ever wanna do balls to the wall spl u can can try //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no 06 xxx 10" and i doubt a 12" mt would be louder than what you have now.

Ya the mt might not be as loud as what he has now.

But it sure will be louder then the new xxx.

If you are going to upgrade I would go with 2 mt's and a different amp.
