The mono 500 or the 2 channel 757?

Also should i get the 2ohm or 4ohm Type r's

The mono 500 would give you more power, and if you were gonna use it you would want the dual 2ohm.

like a jbl 1200.1 would that be too much power would i blow them quickly

do not get alpine amps, especially that mrv-t757.. me and my friend bought 3 of those for $150 each brand new, hook up, and that "supposobly" 750 watts is actually 110w,113w,113w.. three amps and the birthsheet says, it actualy puts those watts.. they're the most overrated amps i've seen that cost alot of money...

dude dont rag on the 757... its a good amp. i bought one used off of ebay, and have had it for 2 years now with no problems. Shut down on me ONCE, has blown 2 audiobahns, and my old kicker substation tubes (rest in peace). Now they power my memphis audio 12's and puts out massive power. Youre just ignorant thats all. The 750watts youre thinking is peak bridged at 4 ohms. It puts out 100wx2 at 4 ohms and 200x2 at 2 ohms. It sounds like a LOT more than it actually puts out. The MRV series amps have been known to be UNDERrated up to 15% of their claimed power. Mine puts out 110w rms at 4 ohmsx 2 channels. dont rag on an amp because "your freind had one and he thought it sucked". If youre that unsatisfied with an amp there's probably a problem with the setup, not the amp.
