I have heard them, very loud midbass in door pod, makes my memphis sound like shyt. Problem is I believe they don't make them anymore

ngsm13 runs them. I have 2 brand new sets, but I haven't hooked them up.

This was the 1st name that popped up into my mind also.

In one of his videos the mpyre's kept up very nicely.

Love mine. They are currently no longer in production.

You may be able to find them on ebay from the person who bought out the remaining stock. Username 501courtneyk or courtneyk501 or something like that.

I'm running mine paired with a pair of TBI HDSS tweeters, the mids are ran @2ohm off a Kicker KX450.2 they sound great, midbass is astounding, and they mate well with my tweeters.

I've pretty much run the piss out of most available high displacement (xmax) mids, RE XXX's, Adire Extremis, Ascendant Poly's, CDT ES 06+, Dayton RS180's, and I've heard dozens more...

I enjoy them, and I believe they're my top choice on what to use in my truck (I currently have 4 mids of each of the bolded to choose from).

They're also not too expensive... especially when you buy 4+. Also, you can check out a few videos in the above link, they were shot with a professional HD camera. I have a lot of work to do on my doors panels, reinforce, seal, finish work... and they already sound great to me.

Also, funny enough to you (OP) and me, I got some great comments from some of the Cleveland "door swingers" about how great mine sounded with my sub setup... and how it kept up...

What do you have yours crossed at? I know sometimes xbl^2 midbasses lack midrange clarity how do your hold up?

they have clarity.

just start to beam a lil lower than some traditional motored mids.

I'm going to start a FS thread for my two sets for those interested.

Mine are nice and clear, I have them @2kHz with a 12db/oct slope...

I love my set that I bought, thinking about picking up another set and glassing!

I run 150wrms to each from 125hz-2.5khz. They are great speakers!

i love mine, i only have 90 watts to each door and i love the midbass!, and my doors are not deadended or sealed, i can just imagine how much better they would sound
