I got a job offer based around Stevens Point WI, any opinions of the Area?

I've never lived that far north.

Fairly boring area, far from madison and milwaukee, not too far from the fox valley area (appleton/oshkosh) What job?

Wisconsin is just like Michigan. Hopefully you enjoy the outdoors. If you aren't around Milwaukee it's pretty much outdoors crap. The economy is terrible in the upper Midwest.

Atleast Wisconsin is on the west side of Lake Michigan and doesn't get as much lake effect snow.

Wisconsin is a very relaxed environment unless you go to the big cities like Madison and Milwaukee. I live in Green Bay with about 300,000+ people and I like it here. It may be boring to some but it's decent all around. Not too ghetto in the worst places.
