Mouting amp to my floor

What kind of hardware can I use to mount my amp to my truck floor? I was going to use self tapping screws, but sometimes they don't hold to tight and strip out.

i've always put a piece of wood under the carpet and just mounted the amp to that-if you do drill through the floor, make sure you don't hit anything "vital" such as gas tanks, etc

Then the wood would just move around..which defeats the purpose.

just use self-tappers. get em long enough to where the threads are in the metal, and they'll hold.

amp to wood, wood to metal, if u do amp to metal, the amp will get fvcked up.

why would the amp get messed up if it touches metal?

the casing is usually just the heatsink ... correct me if im wrong?

i have my 500/1 drilled to my seat back with thin carpet between it, no problems

and yes my seatback is metal under the carpet

dont do amp straight to the floor..

i was stupid and drilled into my gas tank ... a few times before i noticed

i would do a thin layer of wood between the carpet and short screws... the carpet will hold it in place and the wood will hold it down...

should be quite stable.

look under car and find anything vital under it before drilling = ftw

can do what i did for my friends install pre drill a hole put a good right size bolt through and put a bolt through the bottom of the frame way take some more time but no one is gonna lift that amp there not gonna take that much time.
