Mounting Rainbow Germ Tweets.

Getting ready to mount some Germaniums in our Tahoe, and plan on mounting the tweets behind the door grills rather than the stock pillar spot. In my Duramax with similar doors I used the angle mount in the same location for my Bostons as I prefered the imaging. I see the Germs don't come with a angle option....are these better off axis...even at knee height?

To all Germ owners what has worked for you? And did you guys use spades for the crossover connections?...or just the bare wire?

well i have a 94 camry and my stock tweets are located in the door inside the grip handle on the arm rest. I love the imaging. its aimed at the other passengers head rest. I put string on the tweet and straightened it out to see angle. I dont own germs but this imaging was a nice. thought id share.

bare wire will work, spade terminals for a cleaner look IMO.

The Cal 25 tweet performs great off axis but in that vehical you are gonna want them higher up or sound stage will be very low. I would put them in the sails if you can or in the A pillars. Just a thought.

I was surprised to not find the angle mounts when I opened the box...thought that was the standard. The sails are out as the dash hides the drivers side. The pillar mounts would face towards the glass...that's where the stock location is. I do plan on sticking them in different spots prior to the final mount, but in my truck install,(same doors), with some Bostons, my favorite mount was behind the door grills angled towards the opposite headrest. It is the best location on these rigs with lots of room, but needs to be angled to raise the stage. I will look into the angle mounts....anyone have a set they aren't using?

ALSO....anyone have a link to see the various mounts they have available? Their websight has nothing....
