Mounting Headunit Vertically?

Hey! I'm about to go ahead and being to brainstorm my new project, my '07 Honda CR-V.

Like many people, I want this one to maintain the stock look, as the dash kits out right now don't look good with single DIN units. Even the Dual DIN dash kits with a conservative Nav installed make the dash look way to aftermarket, and I've yet to find a nav that so to say "matches" the dash and dash kit well.

I've thought about a Cleansweep for a while, but then realized how much of a nuisance the OEM Cd Changer is, so I have the idea of mounting the HU in either the center console or the glovebox.

If I mount it in the center console, it would be cool. There's a door and the HU would fit inside the compartment

(http://media.automotive.com/evox/stilllib/honda/cr-v/2007/5od/61.jpg). But, the HU would have to be mounted in a complete vertical position. Would this be ok for the HU?

Or, I may just wire everything to the glovebox-it's a shorter run and there's a bit more room to play around with.

ive never had a problem moving mine around while it was playing. its been upside down, vertical, horizontal and no problems. thast only for a short period of time when i have the HU out of the dash though. only problem i can see is maybe a cd getting loose inside the HU and getting stuck. ive never really seen inside one, so idk if thats even possible.

in your glovebox may be kind hard to control while driving.

I've had mine mounted at a 70* angle in my center console for almost 2 years. It skips less than any horozontally mounted player i've ever used. Never complained once, go for it:cool:
