Mounting depth problem in my box

I'm designing a box to go underneath the bench seat of a silverado, so space is extremely limited. I'm trying to get my RL-p12's desired mounting depth, but to help me calculate the design, I need to know:

- what is the minimum distance I can allow between the magnet and the wall of the sub box? Do I even need any clearance/space between the two?

- the Xmax is rated to be one inch. This box is downfiring, so with a one inch xmax, how much space should i leave between the end of the surround and the floor (measuring when the sub is not under power)?
