mounting back strap

is it really necessary to secure the HU with the rear support strap? or can i just skip that step?

well, if i do do it, how do i secure it to the back strap.

1) screwed bolt into back of HU

2) put bolt through the backstrap

3) how do i secure the nut to the bolt? since everything is already in the dash..

its there for older cars/ etc. where you can get to the back of the radio from under the dash.

cars where you no way can get behind the radio with it installed. you dont need the backstrap.
