not many amps can fit under teh seat. or many cars have space for amps.

Helotaxi, i know you dont want me to show you an amp with a heatsink on the bottom..Becasuse if you need a pwnin, i can have one ready in no time.

Not saying that there aren't any but they are far from common. So far in fact that I've never seen one. In fact I'd be suprised if you could find 5 lines of amps where the bottom is the heatsink (amps that are mounted inverted don't count).

As such, spacing an amp as a general rule away from the mounting surface to aid in cooling is not required.
