mounting an amplifier >?>?

it looks like that im gonna have to mount my second sx amplifier onto the back of my subwoofer box, as i have no other place really to put it. Is it bad for the amp in any way will it rattle more and is that gonna cause any damage to it ?

No it shouldnt cause any damage, the only thing about mounting an amp on the box is that it is easier to steal.

All you need are some rubber bushings, can be found at your local home and garden center.

no way to mount them to your seat somehow? or perhaps make a rack for them? on the box works, but like its been said it makes it easier to take your whole system at once if the box will come out without removing anything off it.

if you mount to the box, besides the rubber bushings, make sure the box is properly braced inside so it isnt flexing.

If the box is built right, it is no more prone to any weird vibration than the rest of the car. Car amps are made to be vibration tolerant. The car itself is going to be the source of more vibration than the sub box and any vibes caused by the subs are goint to radiate through the car anyway. The rubber bushings aren't even really necessary. I would rather have the amp solidly mounted to whatever surface it is on.

If you are relying on a 1/2" space between the backplate of the amp, which isn't even a heatsink, and the mounting surface for cooling, I feel sorry for your amp. Air flow over the sink area of the amp is all that should be required for cooling.
