I just installed a avic-n3 and the stupid screen gets stuck on the shifter when it is in park. I drive a 2000 silverado, im sure this happens with the suburbans and yukons also. Is there a cure?

Cut the shifter down an inch or three?

Good idea, but I dont think I will do that. I was wondering what installers had to say about this? What do they tell the customers? And is there a fix?

Its a common problem. The only way to fix it is to put the screen in the lower part of the dash where the cd player usually goes.

x2 or buy a flip out that you can choose how far it comes out. My friend just put one if his silverado and it is perfect, just misses the shifter. I believe its the new Kenwood
