screw all that math crap get a cheep decible meter and plug them in one by one with a set spectrum of sounds repeted on each set. this has to be the only way because no 2 speakers are exactly the same unless there hand made and a wired perfectionist did them with a heap of mistakes. given take 2 of same make and use the same sound you will get a very slight change. also as far as being louder that takes into what the pitch of the sound is deeper the pitch the quiter the sound though you might feel it being louder high pitch sounds are louder cary futher and have less of a felt vibration unless of corse the vibartion comes from wireing a 14" cone tweeter wrong in a vw bug i couldnt hear out 1 ear for a good month or so and the felt vibration lasted longer than that.
for a fun test you could build a glass breaker box and do your test --- a box set up with a glass pane op the cone glass not plastic. then run the system and the speaker that can break the thickest pain of glass wins. oh build the box tight without and vent hole. it will act like my 70 bug in high school 6 12" boxed where back seat is 4 cone tweets inveted across the back 4 6x9s's mounted in 2 boxes one under each dash 6x9's and flat tweets in door panels and a 18' mounted under each seat pointed down with 2inch off the floor. thing was nice and loud and clear as hell prob came due to bugs being built like boats (air/water tight) and the prop holding the door falls over and door shuts -----------end result a lot of flying glass a lot of cut's and paint repairs to other autos. and a full new set of glass and reapulster/paint for mine. ---- made the error of this happening in a full parking lot during school hours. but **** it was a nice sound and a cool pop due to air compresion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif
