Moron on a Mustang Forum

if its so worthless why do cars come with the same type of stuff in them in problem areas of the car to begin with from the factory. all you have to do is get a peice of metal thats about 3/32" thick thats about 4" x 4" in size. drop it listen to the sound, then duct tape it drop it listen then dynamat it and again drop it...

Don't think he quite understands what the mass of the product does to a panel.

I think he thinks that the only source of rattling comes from two panels banging up against eachother, not panels flexing and creating noise.

Any idiot knows that you can get two panels rubbing together to quit rubbing together by spreading them apart with an object.

You are a complete and utter moron.
I'll be concise.

Every element of your car has something we call a 'resonant frequency'. At this frequency, your door, trunk lid, etc. will rattle the most. Deadener is used to add mass to such parts, therefore, changing the resonant frequency, and, in turn, deadening the rattle.

The objective of deadener is to add mass to a certain object...not to hold 2 things together, jackass.
alright who did that?
