Morel Tempo Ulra 602 How Loud?

I currently have the Alpine SPR 60c component speakers with doors sealed as well as proper install. Now if I were to buy the Morel Tempo Ultra 602 speakers, would I be able to go to louder volumes with less distortion compared to the Alpines?

FYI, I like everything about the Morels consisting of smooth/not in your face sounding tweeters as well as great midrange. Just want to know If these speakers can go louder than my Alpines before distortion creeps in.

I'm running the pdx f4 Alpine amp by the way.

if your alpines are distorting, at high volume, it just means you might not have enough power. Dont think the morels will get louder than alpines. They will sound better but not louder.

they are failry loud. but honestly morel is over priced. if i had to recommend a set that was above average are near 1k.. for the money i have a hard time going aginst the CDT ES comps. last pair I had made people actually buy them they sounded that nice..

It was just today I was playing this one Gangster Rap song and bumping heavy Bass and was really testing the volume close the max, plus it was a mp3 128 file size song. I heard not really distorting more like the sound getting very slightly muffled.

Thats the fault of a godawful source file more than anything. 320kbps clean or bust. Its not the setup's fault. Also use a high pass filter as well.

Tuning is very important as well. There's way more to sound quality then just swapping speakers.

The es line is very nice.. Ill take them over any morel under 1k.. If you never heard them you cant judge

The es-04 is reguarded as the best 4" mid range and over on diy the test show its a awesome mid.

No real in depth test of the es6 or 06. But they are decinitally on par with the best mids around..
