More verizon crap....

Well I was finally going to have a cell phone again, and I decided I would use an older startac. Which I think is a pretty sweet phone.

My buddy activated his on sprint fine, but verizon refuses because it does not have gps capabilities. Is there anyway to get around this?

I really want to switch cell phone providers now, I have verizon with a passion.

Why would you want to use an old startac?

That StarTAC won't support EVDO, or 1xRTT anyway..

YEa, verizon is a pain when it comes to usin phones o nthere service , also caus ethey dont use simcard i dont think.

I personally love my Cingular service. We have a huge family plan, and split the price. So I basically have all the minutes, text, pic messages I ever need for about $25 a month.

no there is no way to do it. sadly enough with my verizon razr purchase i joined a cell phone forum... howardforums.com. if you get a good razr i HIGHLY recommend the phone. excellent service, reception, and its so thin. only bad thing is i only get about 2 days of battery life before i need to recharge it.

A few of my friends have Cingular, and I noticed the reception in the B'Burg area is horrible with that company. In bigger cities, though, you should be fine...but I've heard many people comment on Cingular's bad reception.

I've heard many good things about Sprint, though...although I've never personally experienced it (except through my gf).
