I have the 1042. On alpines site they show the resistance for the coils as being different in the 2Q+2Q than the 4Q+4Q. My question is can you run the 1042 (4Q+4Q) at 2Q?

sure them in parallel and i assume u mean voice coil, I dont know what Q is

yes a 4ohm dvc sub can be wired at 2ohms

Thanks for the help. I used Q for ohms. Saw it somewhere on the internet, thought it clever.
