More Power $ucks?

Be nice to him! He's our resident "special" member.
between this and his insistence that crossing speakers over @ 63hz sounds the same as crossing them @ 100hz, i just can't believe he's still ****ing posting here. And not only that, but he's telling other people that THEY can't hear music properly even though he has not heard their stereo, nor even heard any details on how it's configured. It's just epic in it's idiocy.

I hope nobody pays attention to endofdays.

If you take his shit seriously, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Well it has gotten better it was my crossovers and also what is happening is the amp is taking the signal from the single set of rca's and is splitting them for all four speakers. But anyway It is much better now sounds great the crossovers are not set yet but will fiddle to fine tune tomorrow anyone know what they should be at. As for my musical listening I am very picky about what I hear. You may not give to $hits but I have over 8,000 songs in my library of music all categorized and all in Apple Lossless format so that way I am not losing anything in the digital process. I love music and love to sit and listen to it for hours on end "when I get time". But like i said I am still learning and today I learned that before you start *****ing always try to tune what you may have overlooked.

you guys are dumb *****, if i was the op of this thread, i wonder how much i would get flamed?

I mean seriously, if you amp a speaker, why would it sound worst, and how would the highs and mids sound worst like the OP claims.

You guys just like flaming me.

Are you serious?

Look at the replies to this thread. They answer every question you just asked.

Crossover points, bass boost, etc.

Yeah. We're definitely the dumbasses.

no shit? Were are now on chapter v section 1. So pay attention!

Today we are learning about how amplifiers make speakers sound better, be sure to listen closely.

I wasn't talking about you anyway man, i was just saying that if i made this thread i would be getting flamed right now, how does that offend you?

I have been running my polk momo's threw the head units internal amp for about 5 months now and the bass was nice and strong the mids and higs we great. So I though well let me get an amp to run these and it will sound even better. Well yesterday and today I installed my old anp that i use to use in a previous car a Sony xm-4060gtx it is 60 watts rms as posed to like 8 watts. Well it sucks I have no bass my treble is lost and I dont know what to do. I am using tight now on rca set of cables using y splitters and it is connected to the front pre outs on the back of the alpine haed unit. I need suggestions please HELP!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
you make sure your setting are right on the amplifier and Head unit. Then you turn the crossovers on and mess with your treble and bass until you get the sound you want. The sound shouldn't disappear. Are your speakers out of phase or something, other than that, i don't really see how they can sound worst. It just doesn't make any sense/

I'm suppsosed to be the dumbest person here, but this just blows me away, everything works after you hooked it up to the amp, but it doesn't sound as good? Man, does sony really **** that bad guys, and yes, this is a serious question to any previous sony amp owners.

edit: and i just realized you said it sounds better, that is good to hear.

...also what is happening is the amp is taking the signal from the single set of rca's and is splitting them for all four speakers.
FWIW - Splitting your pre-amps with y-cables has no significant effect on signal quality. Voltage stays close to the same. The load on the HU increases slightly, but it's only a problem if you split it many many times.

Real headunits don't have "treble" and "bass" settings //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

In all seriousness... where the fuck did you come from? I disappear on the forums for a while, and all of a sudden you're 'tarding things up out of nowhere.
