I have lived here for many years without incident from GPD. ASO and FHP have been my foes. Never had any issue with UPD either. Like I said though, I need to see the report, if it ever gets released.

I spent last summer there, and from everything I heard, GPD is the biggest bunch of worthless lazy *****.

So this guy seems to be upset about the election and is demanding answers of kerry which he has every right to. he was a bit obnoxious and annoying with his approach so the cops begin to arrest him. (since when do we arrest people for being annoying?) he feels the arrest is unjust and there fore resists so a sh1t load of cops swarm the guy and they obviously have him on the ground and your telling me they cant get control of him? so then they use a tazer on him. pretty much what i got out of the video. seems pretty ridiculous to me first with the whole tazer issue it only takes a tenth of a milliamp to cross any of your vital organs to kill you. second they didnt need to use the tazer there were enough officers there to subdue him third someone like that you either ask to sit down or to leave you dont walk right up and arrest him. they realized they made a mistake so they began making up things to charge him with. did the crowd really seem like they would riot? they were clapping as he was being arrested. in the words of J and silent bob "FU

Then he handed his video camera to a girl next to the podium and told her to keep it on him. Then he started the confrontation with the cops by not stopping and leaving when asked. Then it turned to resisting arrest and eventually he got tasered.

I don’t feel bad for that idiot. He was out for attention.

IMO as much as i think this guy is a complete idiot for resisting arrest, the UPD couldve been more professional. is it that hard to put some handcuffs on him with like 8 COPS around, then take him outside to taze him. its pretty stupid to do that in a room full of people to watch and listen to the screams and cries of someone in pain.

When a person starts to flip out and act erratically and in a threatening manor to a state senator, then resists by thrashing around to avoid a direct order from a police officer, they obviously lack the self control most normal people have to conduct themselves in these types of situations. If I were Senator Kerry, I would have gotten nervous. If I were one of the police, I would have gotten nervous. And for the record, I don't care how many cops were around him when he was tazed. They obviously felt like they couldn't contain him as a collective.

This guy is a melodramatic prick with no self control, lack of respect for authority, and a definite agenda. He deserved what he got. I can't go against the law enforcement involved in this case. I think they were well within their rights to take the action they did given the circumstances.

Exactly. Now people want to hold him out as some sort of dfender of the 1st Amendment. In fact, he was the one infringing upon everyone else's 1st Amend. rights.

I am sure the guy is smart enough to know that he could have had his questions answered if he asked them in a civil manner. That, of course, is not what he wanted. He purposely escalated the situation -- I am sure that he got exactly what he wanted.
