just my experience. Knew very little about instalation. I just kinda figured run a power wire and a ground speaker wires, concerning amps that is. Run around 600 wrms amps into one sub. Originally just ran a 10g single wires from battery to trunk for power and 16g wire for speakers.
Went ahead and ran two more 10g power from baterry and new grounds as well.
was very surprised how much increased volume and thump came from that. Then I added a second set of 16g speaker wires to sub. Again I was very surprised.
Much to learn on this forum. One dude says something like 10% equipment 90% instalation. Instal is very important indeed from my experience.
Plan on doing the big three next.
Also going to add a second 500Wrms amp. I wonder if the 3 - 10G power wires would be enough for around 1000W rms total. I dont know what 3 -10 gauge combined eqaules to one total wire size. My guess is that it wont be enough. Lenght is around 15 feet.
