moral issues, who beleives in heaven hell god jesus,

why? who wants to think when you die thats it? thats the end? you suffer your whole life basically and this is the best it gets....
Exactly. Nobody does want to think that, humans have been trying to explain things we couldnt understand since we came about, alot of what we used to think is laughable with our knowledge today. That is just one reason many believe religion came about though.

religion came about because it was a way of giving people hope and of controlling them...

This is all theory of course, but I would disgree the origins of religion had ANYTHING to do with control of people. Throughout history, yes, religion has served that purpose, but not in its origins.

ya i beleive there is a higher being, there almost has to be, how does all this shit run, how is the world or universe in tact almost perfectly, with gravity and all that shit keeping shit from hitting earth, atmosphhere some how it all got there, there has to be a higher being watching over us

There's all scientific explanations for that stuff you know.......

Actually yes. My teacher is a nuclear scientist who was an advisor to the president and he concluded that there had to have been an intellectual being to start all of this, because the world is too complex, and things are just "too" perfect to just happen accidently. He believes that God created the world and that we evolved from Gods creation. Either way, he still believes that there is an intellectual being that created us, how we got to where we are isnt the point, its who created us that is.

Church = Very long standing and very profital buisness
Most pastors barely make enough money to get by. I know 3,and all of them are struggling as it is, even with their wife working also.

Mormon church is the only church that is CLEARLY profitable. If you don't tithe, you are excommunicated.

Religion has always been. The ancient Egyptians worshiped gods, and that is religion.

I can't sit here and tell you there is a right religion, or a wrong one, because that is an absolute truth, and when regarding religion, absolute truths are contradicing to themselves.

Just study the human DNA strand, there is enough proof of how exact and precise things need to be, to make you think how it got to be that way.

Even Charles Darwin said evolution could be wrong. I forget his exact quote. There is no explanation evolutionists have of how the "particles of matter" joined together. They originally thought it was because of positively charged ions and whatnot, and later found out that this could not happen because of certain specifics I don't know/remember/.

The scientist who tried to say how the particles joined together, after doing further research, and concluding his prediction couldnt happen, became a Christian.

You are thinking too presently, when I talk about the origins of religion I am reffering to the first settlements of humans thousands of years before even the egyptians.

I believe in God, Jesus, Hell and everything. I am a Christian, and proud to claim it. I know I am not perfect, as none of us are. I have kinda formed my own version of Christianity though. I believe modern churces are only teaching what they want you to hear. Sometimes I find myself wondering how they got what they are teaching from the Bible. I have read the majority of the Bible, and will have read the whole thing before too long. I have found many aspects that I disagree with most major churches on, so I live by my interpretation of what the message was intended to say.

why would one read the whole bible
Because I actually have the drive to learn. I don't go on just what people tell me. I learn for myself.

as for what I'm going to get out of it: I will get a greater personal understanding of by far the most influential aspect of my life.

i drive to learn to, about other stuff, id rather read a book on pyschology, rather than the bible, id rather read a book about hitler, stalin, even george bush , id rather read about how las vegas came to be, id rather read how to make my own tv, ive read about 40 words of the bible

Hey, like no one knew it. I'm 100% Atheist. But as recently as 3 years ago I considered myself a born again christain. I've read, willingly, the entire bible. I've researched both testemants and for a very long period I was hardcore.

Things change with knowledge and understanding.

I'm not going to fight my position because honestly I love that people have beliefs, thats totaly cool. Not for me though.

What proof is there that there was religion back then?

Until you can proove conclusively beyond a shadow of a doubt there was religion in "cave man" days, I choose not to believe because there is not significant evidence.

People have always tried to explain things they don't know. I believe that my religion was started when God spoke to man, which was after he created him. We didn't "find a way to explain things" we knew.

It's a sense of faith.
