Hifonics ZRX3200.1D Zeus Series 3200W Class-D Monoblock Amplifier

Anybody have any experience with these amps? I want to upgrade, but that price has me skeptical. I'm currently running a RF T1000BDcp I bought from a local shop, so you can imagine the outrageous price I paid...not trying to do that again.

I don't want to spend more than $400 but want to be somewhere between 2000 and 3000w (am i crazy to think that's possible??). Do these Hifonics amps put out anywhere near their ratings? Are there better options in that price range?

And lastly, can I run that much power, safely, with just the Big 3 and a secondary battery?

Not sure on my current alternator output, but its a factory alt for 2004 f150 4.6

TIA!

I have the zrx1800.1 and only has two 60amp fuses so it not even close to 1800 watts. But it does good for what i paid for it but if i was you i would look into another name brand. and also what subs are you planning on using?

If your goin the hifonics route, don't get the Zeus series, get the Brutus series. Solid amps that put out close to rated. I'm happy with mine.
Hifonics is CEA-compliant as well. Their amplifiers should be putting out the shown values.

Crescendo makes the cheapest amp I would ever use.
Those are budget amps? Jeez, might want to look at SoundQubed while you're looking at those.

This would be for 1 Sundown ZV.4 12"

See if you can find some of the Hifonics Brutus 07/08 lines. I ran a pair of the 2608s strapped at 1ohm and they put down rated power.

Hifonics amps have been proven to put down rated, just they are rated at 14.4v and you wont get the rated power if you aren't at that voltage.

Since the two most fundamental qualities of an amplifier are how loud it will play and how good it will sound, the two principal ratings, according to CEA2006, are Output Power and Signal-to-Noise Ratio.
Car Amplifier Standard

At 4ohms and 14.4v on a test bench. Stuff changes when the load drops. The best amps made are not CEA compliant. They don't need a sticker to trick Newbs.

they test the amp for power at 4 ohms... They do not test power at 2 or 1 ohm and they do not have any regard for THD. Its an okay place to start out to weed the garbage from the ok amps when your shopping at sonicelectronix, amazon woofersetc but they are far from being a proper industry standard.

All amps differ under varying loads and best amps are not budget amps. The CEA-compliance sticker should provide some certainty in his budget purchase. 2cents

Soundqubed Q-2200D would be your best bet at $429 shipped. Otherwise, I would suggest browsing the classifieds for a used amp. I've seen pretty good items sold on here.
+1. Soundqubed tech support is great as well. They will gladly talk to you via email/phone about anything regarding audio.
