go with the audioque1200d and run it at .75

So what would you expect the output to be at at .75 ohms?

Output Power 14.4V @ 1% THD

510X1 @ 4 ohm,

870X1 @ 2 ohm,

1200X1 @1 ohm

????? x1 @ .75ohm

With good gain control and box rise, it may be a good match.

Have you heard any one running that combo?

I would sell the sub & get something that would be easier to find an amp for. Besides those I had 2 w7's & was not impressed at all.........

Really? I have heard these before and they were insane... My son will drool over this.... I think I will just go with the 1000/1v2 as I found them brand new for 599 shipped with 3 yr warranty. I will just hold out a few weeks and then get it for him.

Out of curiosity what subs would anyone else recommend?

I have seen some people rip on maxxsonics stuff here though and was not sure if it would be a good choice. I did however use the crunch 900.4 for the 4*6 and 6*9 speakers and it seems ok so far.

I want to see the amp in that link make 2,400 watts. Is that its "If Struck By Lightning" rating:laugh:

As for Maxxsonics.... They make great CHEAP amps. Some last years, others won't make it to one year.

It all depends on what you want efficient subs, SPL, or some over rated subs (w7,IDmax)

i bet this would be a good match... cheap too but very good quality. personally, not impressed with the w7 either.

Hey guy's im a newbie. I've got 2 alpine x-12's. I used to have a 2400w memphis sound amp running it but i sold it. for highs and and mids i got an alpine 450w 4-channel. calrion crossover and a 4 farad cap. Just added a soundstream double din and clarion eq. I need ideas for a mono amp and speakers. I got some crappy alpine coaxial type r interiors. Thanks

ok ended up buying him a JL 1000/1. I will hopefully get it in the car this weekend.
