mono amp cuts off at high volumes

I have two amps, one 4 channel for components, and a mono for two kenwoods. I have a 0 gauge that's split at a d-block, that powers the two amps. I ran this setup without any problems since feb. now, the past month or so.. the 4 channel cut out at high volumes... I had to turn the gains down, and my mono, even turned down wayyyy lower than before, it still turns off at high volumes...

I'm extremely frustrated since like I said... I ran this same setup without any problems fine for 3 months, and now it's all crapping out... please help!

What kind of amps? Have you done any kind of DMM testing? Does everything cut out, or just the amp itself? And lastly... did you start to notice the problem as the temp started raising outside?

I have a jensen 4 channel 760, and a hifonics mono 1000.1. I'm gonna go pick up a voltmeter today and test that. The jensen works decently now that I turned down the gains, but the hifonics cuts out with little or no bass at all. It did start happening as soon as the temp was raising, but it won't even run for a short period of time, it's like.. instant. last summer it would take awhile and a very hot day for it to send it into protection mode.

i've checked them at least 10 times now, like I said, this setup was fine and ran without a problem for 3 months. now it doesn't.

check your grounds. are the amps getting hot themselves? dont forget about all the vibration going on after time can loosen stuff up or im guessing a poor ground

i've checked the grounds numerous times, could something have come loose internally from the vibration?

It's possible, depending on the overall quality of the amplifier. Where is it mounted? If you test it with the DMM and your not getting voltage drops, try testing the load on it for each speaker, make sure it isnt seeing some low resistance and putting itself into protect mode. If neither of these are the case you may need to bench test it
