I don't see how the focal BE sets are in the same price range of the other two? Especially knowin that they retail for over $3000!

But of the other two I would get the Seas...

And as a matter of fact NONE of those speakers are in the same price range at all.

No, it won't be hands down. Both sets are very capable in their own right. Your best bet would be to try and audition both so you can better determine what your ears like best.

We can't tell you what your ears will like better. The best thing for you to do is to go audition both sets and then you will have answered your own question.

I can recommend speakers all day long for those looking for sub-$200 priced sets to just throw in as a decent factory upgrade, but when you start getting into higher price brackets, the best thing to do is go listen for yourself.

I'll be happy to list my own opinions, and here's what the breakdown would be:

$66: Vc660

$130: RSd65cs

$180: SPX-177R

$230: SLC265

$280: SLC265Kick

$450-$550: Germanium or SR6500, likely the Germs though.

Above $550: your on your own... I'm not even touching that one. (except for the PowerLine CS for the $1000 budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif )

recently i came across a brand called danish acostics... made by the same parent company of seas.. heard of it? it is in the 450 range..****.. where's no sr6500 demo setup where i am at..i want to test all of them..

Well, out of the 3 originals, I would have to say the Seas Lotus. Only because the Focals are way out of the price range, and there is no such thing as the Momo SR6500 (It's just the Polk SR6500. The Momo speakers are a comletely different line).

Seriously, though, you really should audition them for yourself. I couldn't spend that much money without making sure beforehand that the speakers would give me what I want. I could plop down the cash on a set of Germs, because they have recieved tons of great reviews in many kinds of installs and using many kinds of music. Plus, working with 6spdcoupe, I know I'd be taken care of if I had any problems.

You can't really go wrong with either set, but it would be difficult for us to tell you which is better.

I havent heard the seas, but the polks are not even on the same level as the focal be's.

OK, go to mobilesq.com and e-mail them for the best price on the Lotus Reference comps. Then look around the net to see what focals you can get within the price range. After you've done that, go audition those two sets and see which one you like more. Hell, just go to your local dealers and audition as many sets as possible and then look on the net for better prices after you find something you like. No sense spending a bunch of cash on something if you can get a more affordable set that suits your needs.
