MOJO Rebuild

I have an old er orange basket Mojo 12" that finally split the surround. My question is it worth getting rebuilt and by who? I've heard good things about SPL but never had a sub rebuilt. If not what sub would work well in a 1.15ft3 sealed box. I'm limited in space in my '04 Tundra DC. I use it for everyday driving and work so I'm not going to build another box. I'm currently running an Alpine MRP M1000. Ide like to use its full potential. Any suggestions on Subs? Ive looked at all subs from Lanzar OPTI to a SSA. I know its not the best but after my mojo my 2nd favorite sub was the Pioneer 3002d4.

Yeah I had it in a ported box in a friends Saturn SC2 and it would bang. Like I said Im not familiar with rebuilds. How would I contact, order, send the sub? Is it possible to make it work with a sealed box?

Question... Why not buy the voice coil from a dealer and put it in yourself? Is it a cost thing?
Most manufacturers don't sell parts like that. Many don't ever even see parts, just fully assembled subs or drop in kits straight from China.

As far as sourcing out recone parts and doing it yourself, it's an option, but if you mess it up typically the parts are hosed and you're out your money.

From what the OP is telling us all he needs is a "drop in kit" if he has a mojo. Memphis sells (or use to) the surround & VC separately. However they do (did) not sell the motor separately.

I was thinking of someone to rebuild it to be a lil more solid and take more power. its the old SVC orange mojo. Ide like DVC and something around 1k rms. Thats y I was thinking of just scrapping the mojo and buying another. And like hispls said if I screw it up its out my pocket. I have a crappy type R 10" for now but dont care for it much.

I do think I recalled some of the Memphis subs having a drop in cartridge.

IDK what model you have, but Dave the Box Guy ran a pair of 12" MOJO's that would literally have smoke pouring out of the box and survive. They were quit impressive IMO for what they were.
