Modded Xbox Help

I have my xbox modded, but I want to upgrade my x-chip from the 1.0 bios to the 1.3 so I can take advantage of my bigger hard drive. I tried using the software downloaded from the x-chip site, but it's not recognizing the chip. Is there any other way I can put a bios on the chip? Just to note, my xbox works fine, I am just losing 160+ gigs because the bios I have is only compatible up to 137,.
