depends on the box... most of the time they wont run 1 ohm without modding... protection kicks in everytime I've tried it. If imp rise is high enough they will run... but not without occasionally kicking into protect.

so i will have to get it modded to run at 1 ohm huh how is that done and is it safe see i want people to see that 1 1501 and think i only can run at 1500 @ 2 help me out

you have to remove a resistor... if you are not familiar with this sort of thing I wouldnt attempt it. One wrong move and you just turned a very nice amp into a very pretty paper weight. If you already have a 1501 and need it modified, pm me and I'll help you out.

lol, if a 1200.1 can then an 1100d can. but they can both run at 1ohm... so why would you want to modify it?

modding a 2500.1 is super easy... all you have to do is remove a jumper... no tools needed (except to open the bottom) however, this mod only allows higher dc voltage (up to 18.5) it does not allow the amp to run at 1 ohm.

There'd be no need for that high of a voltage in a daily driver amp. The impedance mod is a different story. I'd be interested in modding my cheaper amp to be 1 ohm stable (bridged). That'd rule.

Power Acoustik OV2-1200. It's a nice amp, but like all mid tier quality 2 channel amps, it's only stable at 4 ohm when bridged. I can run it without any problems at 2, but it'd be perfect at 1 ohm stable.
