Mod Tenure

Like Universities, profs don't 'retire'. They are handed some other form of tenure, usually becoming a 'scholar' or whatever lame-*** name the University gives them. That way, even though they reach mandatory retirement age, they can still come in to do "research" (e.g. sit at their computer and cruise **** all day long) and still retain their six figure salary.

Ok, so what happens to all the retired mods? Do they retain tenure to any level or a special 'scholar' status?
For five years of service I got a t-shirt and a sticker.
